Giant locusts, which are said to have entered Türkiye via the Balkans, continue their spread in the Marmara Region. The locusts, which were seen in different districts of Bursa after Edirne, Istanbul and Kocaeli, were captured by citizens with their mobile phone cameras.
Large-sized grasshoppers landing on balconies, gardens and walls of houses caused surprise among citizens. The images soon began to be shared on the internet.
CITIZENS APPLIED TO DIFFERENT METHODS
Some citizens who wanted to keep giant grasshoppers away from their homes tried various methods. It was seen that a citizen recorded with his mobile phone camera the moments when he poured the mixture he prepared by mixing white vinegar and water on the balconies and windows.
