The current warning will be in effect from 15:00 to 23:00 on Tuesday. Meteorologists expect the strongest storms on the border of Bohemia and Moravia, where the second highest level of warning against very strong storms will be in effect, the first level will apply elsewhere.
“Later today in the afternoon and evening in southeastern and eastern Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia, isolated to very strong thunderstorms are expected, which may be accompanied by torrential rainfall of around 50 mm, hail of around 2 cm and wind gusts of around 70 km/h,” warn meteorologists.
In addition, another wave of storms will also arrive on Wednesday from the early hours of the morning. Storms will gradually move from Bohemia to Moravia and Silesia, where they can be very strong in the afternoon. The CHMÚ will issue a warning against them during Wednesday.
In addition, the warning against high temperatures will still be in effect on Tuesday, especially in southern Moravia, where they will exceed 36 °C. A warning about the danger of fires also applies here. Tropical temperatures can also be in other parts of Moravia, Silesia and eastern Bohemia.
