The Ukrainians also targeted this facility on June 22. According to the Ukrainian General Staff, thick smoke was spreading over its premises at the time. It also appeared over Dubna on Tuesday, when the Ukrainians attacked the Russian space center for the second time in a short time.
“Today, our far-reaching sanctions against Russia in connection with this war once again affected the space communication center in Dubno in the Moscow region,” Zelensky announced on Facebook on Tuesday. “This is a special device for satellite communication, which is mainly used for reconnaissance and to coordinate the activities of the Russian occupation contingent in Ukraine,” he explained, adding that the affected object is located more than 500 kilometers from the state border.
According to Zelensky, the Ukrainians have recently attacked four such Russian centers, not only in the Moscow Region, but also in the Vladimir Region, which is adjacent to the Moscow Region.
“Step by step, we are implementing our far-reaching sanctions plan and making it as difficult as possible for the aggressor state to carry out invasion operations against Ukraine and occupy our territory,” he recalled, adding that the Ukrainian army is already “preparing appropriate measures against other similar enemy facilities.”
